A comprehensive service to support companies in the highly specialised manufacturing industry
Automation Service is a Brescian company that has distinguished itself by its constant commitment to innovation over the past ten years.
The adoption of new technologies and digital solutions, with constant evolution to the supply chain, has enabled the company to provide products and assistance services to the highly specialised manufacturing industry, particularly for Fanuc and Mitsubishi Electric CNC machine tools and robotised systems.
Automation Service has around 3000 customers across Italy, Germany, Portugal and England, where their first international unit was established two years ago.
From small craftspeople to large multinational companies, they all have the need for a complete service with minimal time and an eye on costs in common.

The awareness that customers’ industrial businesses must run without machine downtime has always been the mission and primary goal of the company, led by Engineer Gabriele Marchina, CEO and founder, together with his wife Gloriana Iarrera, a lawyer.
Automation Service has the largest Italian stock of Fanuc and Mitsubishi Electric spare parts ready for delivery and is the largest Italian importer of such electronic devices. The largest importers, manufacturers and resellers of machine tools turn to Automation Service because it works with specialised technicians and on-time spare parts to reduce or even eliminate costly machine downtime.

The company recently reached an important goal: exporting its business model to North America with the opening of new offices in Mexico City and soon Texas for the US market.
"Our core business has always been the sale and service of CNC machinery and electronic spare parts," said Engineer Marchina. The company's growth was made possible by increasing productivity and creating new business strategies, an aspect that makes us stand outand which we are proud of. In fact, our business model is based on being able to work as a system between companies, serving and supporting the primary businesses of our customers. We do not only do service work with great passion and accuracy, but also strategic consultancy on CNC machine tool maintenance.”
And it is from this business model that the overseas opportunity arises: many customers have requested to be able to extend service on their CNC machines and robots to their overseas production sites with increasing prominence in recent years.
This is a challenge that Automation Service has accepted to face, giving rise to a project aimed at supporting the industrial activities of Italian and other groups present in Mexico and the USA.
This international development has not been held back by the pandemic. In fact, “During lockdown,” Marchina continues, “we all worked day and night on developing the strategic and operational vision. We were a unique team of true professionals, working side by side and with a common mission in mind: meeting the needs of all our customers in light of the structural changes in international scenarios. We had to reinvent ourselves, as many others did, by defining a new organisational and business relations matrix. This helped us to accelerate our evolution, thus enabling us to achieve our long-cherished dream.”
The global emergency spared no one, including North America. Nevertheless, Automation Service is already looking to the future. A thorough analysis of the data collected for months on the new markets has enabled the development of this new proposal, which has met with the approval of important Italian industrial groups and well-known and appreciated European entrepreneurs. Mexico, for example, is a major buyer of machinery and equipment from Italy: exports of these products account for more than one third of Italy's total exports to Mexico. Not to mention that there are important production clusters in the automotive and aerospace sectors.

Prominent partners include Mexican entrepreneur Mauricio Kuri Slim, who believed in this strategic vision for a market as complex as North America from the outset, considering it a highly innovative project.
Institutions also played an important role, in particular the Italian-Mexican Chamber of Commerce, represented by President Dr. Lorenzo Vianello, who supported this initiative with great enthusiasm.
These strategic and prestigious partnerships will concretely contribute to the development of the project, consolidating Automation Service's presence in an economic and industrial fabric of primary importance to the company and its partners.
The main challenge for Italian manufacturing companies is to be able to seize the opportunities of ongoing change and drive technological innovation.
We must focus on quality and bet on new technologies to keep Italian industry alive and competitive in the world.
Service, competence and a passion for innovation have always been Automation Service's DNA.

A NEW PROJECT UNDER DEVELOPMENT
Creating new projects in the field of robotics and implementing predictive maintenance models are the innovation goals particularly dear to the company.
This is why Automation Service has contributed to the establishment of an innovative, high-tech start-up in Italy, J.G. Robotics.
The first project they are currently working on is developing targeted 24/7 assistance, which will allow customers to be guided in possible solutions to faults on their own, thus avoiding costly machine downtime. But this will be a new story to tell."
