This EtherCAT Terminal integrates a programmable safety controller designed for distributed safety applications in industrial machinery. It executes safety logic up to Safety Integrity Level 3 (SIL 3) according to IEC 61508 and Performance Level e (PLe) according to ISO 13849-1, facilitating the implementation of complex safety functions within the TwinCAT 3 environment. The unit processes safety-relevant data from connected TwinSAFE I/O terminals over the EtherCAT network, ensuring deterministic and reliable safety control.
