This K-System intrinsic safety barrier, model KFD2-CD-EX1.PN, provides galvanic isolation and signal conditioning for NAMUR proximity sensors or switches located in hazardous areas. It integrates directly into PROFINET industrial Ethernet networks, enabling direct communication of intrinsically safe field device status to the control system without requiring additional I/O modules.
