This K-System isolated barrier module functions as a PROFINET gateway, converting intrinsically safe field signals from hazardous areas into standard PROFINET IO data. Engineered for process automation, it provides a robust interface for connecting NAMUR sensors, mechanical contacts, or 4-20mA transmitters located in Zone 0, 1, or 2 to industrial control systems via a deterministic PROFINET network. It ensures signal integrity and intrinsic safety compliance while facilitating seamless integration into modern PLC and DCS architectures.
