This is a KFD2-SR2-EX1.W intrinsic safety barrier from the K-System series, engineered for reliable signal conditioning and galvanic isolation in hazardous area installations. It facilitates the safe interface between field devices located in explosive atmospheres and control systems in safe areas, adhering to intrinsic safety standards. The module processes switching signals from NAMUR proximity sensors or mechanical contacts, converting them into isolated relay outputs for integration into process control architectures.
