This is a K-System intrinsic safety barrier and PROFINET gateway designed for interfacing hazardous area field devices with industrial control systems. It provides galvanic isolation and signal conditioning for intrinsically safe circuits, enabling direct integration of NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts from Zone 0, 1, or 2 into a PROFINET network. The module facilitates reliable data exchange, diagnostic capabilities, and functional safety up to SIL 2 for process automation applications.
