The PEPPERL & FUCHS KFD2-SR2-EX1.W is a K-System intrinsic safety barrier, specifically a 2-channel switch amplifier, engineered to provide galvanic isolation and energy limitation for signals originating from hazardous area field devices. It enables the safe interface of NAMUR proximity sensors or mechanical contacts located in Zone 0, 1, or 2 with safe area control systems, ensuring compliance with intrinsic safety standards for process automation applications.
