This K-System intrinsic safety barrier, identified as KFD2-CD-EX1.CN, is a single-channel frequency converter and switch amplifier designed for the galvanic isolation and signal conditioning of digital signals originating from hazardous areas. It facilitates the safe interface of NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts with control systems in the safe area, ensuring explosion protection in accordance with international standards. The module converts input frequencies or switching states into a reliable digital output for process automation applications.
