This K-System isolated barrier, identified as KFD2-CD-EX1.PN, functions as a frequency converter and switch amplifier for intrinsically safe applications. It is engineered to process signals from NAMUR sensors or dry contacts located in hazardous areas, converting them into a safe, switched digital output for control systems in the non-hazardous zone. The module provides reliable signal conditioning and galvanic isolation, critical for safety instrumented systems and process automation in explosive atmospheres.
