This KFD2 series intrinsic safety barrier functions as a two-channel switch amplifier, designed for interfacing NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts located in hazardous areas with control systems in safe areas. It provides galvanic isolation, line fault detection, and relay outputs, ensuring reliable signal transmission and compliance with stringent safety integrity levels for process automation applications.
