This K-System isolated barrier, identified as the KFD2-SR2-EX1.W.SM, functions as a 2-channel switch amplifier designed for intrinsic safety applications. It provides galvanic isolation between hazardous and safe areas, conditioning signals from NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts and driving two independent relay outputs. Engineered for use in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) up to SIL 2, it ensures reliable operation and protection in process automation environments.
