This intrinsic safety barrier, part of the KFD2 series, provides galvanic isolation and signal conditioning for hazardous area applications. It converts NAMUR or dry contact inputs from Zone 0/1/2 into safe area relay outputs, ensuring reliable signal transmission while maintaining explosion protection. Engineered for critical process control and safety instrumented systems requiring SIL 2 compliance.
