This device is an intrinsically safe PROFINET gateway from the K-System series, engineered to bridge PROFIBUS PA segments located in hazardous areas to a PROFINET IO control system in the safe area. It provides power and signal conditioning for up to four PROFIBUS PA segments, enabling seamless integration of field devices in Zone 0, 1, or 2 environments into modern Ethernet-based industrial networks. Its robust design ensures reliable data exchange and intrinsic safety compliance for critical process automation applications.
