This K-System series intrinsic safety barrier, model KFD2-SR2-EX1.W.SM, functions as a 1-channel switch amplifier with a relay output. It is engineered for the safe operation of NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts located in hazardous areas, providing galvanic isolation and signal conditioning to the control system in the safe area. Integrated line fault detection enhances system reliability for safety-related applications in process automation.
