This K-System isolated barrier, model KFD2-SR2-EX1.W, provides intrinsic safety for digital input signals originating from hazardous areas. It features galvanic isolation between the field and control circuits, converting a hazardous area input into a safe, potential-free relay output. The unit is engineered for integration into safety instrumented systems (SIS) requiring compliance up to Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 3.
