This K-System isolated barrier, identified as KFD2-CD-EX1.30, functions as a switch amplifier and frequency converter for intrinsically safe applications. It provides galvanic isolation between hazardous and safe areas, converting signals from NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts into a frequency output and a relay output for process control systems.
