This intrinsic safety barrier from the K-System KFD2 series functions as a repeater power supply and signal conditioner. It provides isolated power to 2-wire and 3-wire SMART transmitters located in hazardous areas, while safely transmitting their 4-20mA current signals to the safe area. The module ensures explosion protection and maintains full HART communication transparency for critical process automation applications requiring SIL 2 compliance.
